Zombie territory

Hey everyone!

As for this last week it went flying by. We had 2 mini cambios. 1 was planned and the other was a suprise, but needed. We did a fun activity with our girls this last week. This cambio was a bit longer than others, and if you want to know it is hard to get through 6 weeks let alone 8. Needless to say they needed an animo boost! So hermana leaders to the rescue! We got our mission mom, hermana arrington to write them each cards, and we as well did it. We read part of the talk from elder nelson two cambios ago and cooked them breakfast. It was just what they needed to help them to see all of the good they can still do if they look for the spirit.

Through visiting members this week, we can see the toll that satan is taking on the family. It is funny because they always have said it in conference, but I have never believed it, until now. Well we have been sharing something with them that is applied to all of us, a promise from Nefi.

27 And it came to pass that we lived after the manner ofhappiness.

okay cool they lived happy lives, but that is not easy to have. We have things like death, loss of jobs, lack of time that keep us from this. So how can we really be happy? Well Njefi tells us

10 And we did observe to keep the judgments, and thestatutes, and the commandments of the Lord in all things, according to the law of Moses.

so the promise is that if we keep the commandments and works of the Lord we will be happy. This isnt easy. I know. Obedience is something that every person struggles with. I knowwwwww, but the promise is so real. Be obedient and you will be happy. The happiest I have ever been in my life is her in the mission. I know it is because it is the most obedient I have ever been as well. Dont get discouraged. Elder Holland tells us:

When there was a controversy in the early Church regarding who was entitled to heaven’s blessings and who wasn’t, the Lord declared to the Prophet Joseph Smith, “Verily I say unto you, [the gifts of God] are given for the benefit of those who love me and keep … my commandments, and [for them] that seeketh so to do.”6 Boy, aren’t we all thankful for that added provision “and … seeketh so to do”! That has been a lifesaver because sometimes that is all we can offer! We take some solace in the fact that if God were to reward only the perfectly faithful, He wouldn’t have much of a distribution list.

I add to this promise and testify of it.

Love you all and have an awesome week
